My fiance and I decided at the last minute to spend the weekend at the beach. So we decided to stay at the Best Western. Going into it we were not expecting much but we were wrong! It was very clean! The cleanest bathroom I've ever seen. You have your own little dressing room and kitchen. When we arived we got cookies for checking in, which were delicouse! There is a brakefast which was more then what we expected; ceareal bar, wallfle maker, beagles, toast, muffins, and coffiee! I will recomaned this hotel to anyone! Also, my fiance and I will be staying here again

We stayed here one night while on a road trip. The room was small and right next to the railroad tracks. We had an ocean view and was right in front of the Ventura Pier but there were the railroad tracks and the highway between us. The train shook the whole building! It did stop running about 9:30 pm so we were able to sleep. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. They had a good breakfast the next morning. They had a small pool and hot tub but we didn't use them. There is a pedwalk to get to the beach and pier and some places to eat within walking distance. It is just a basic motel no extras but okay to stay for one night.

This Best Western was just a basic motel. Nothing fancy. The room was on the small side compared with the other motels we had stayed during our two week trip. It was clean and the split bathroom was nice. We had a small window that faced the ocean, of course the railroad tracks and the highway were between you and the ocean. It was noisy. The train shook the building when it went by. It's last trip was about 9:30pm ......thank goodness. The neighboorhood was nice. We walked to a restaurant to eat. We then walked over the pedway to the beach and the pier. The beach and pier was interesting. I don't think I would feel comfortable walking around here after dark.

This is an older hotel and needs some updating. I had seen on other reviews that it was near the railroad tracks, so was prepared for that. It really was not a problem after 11:00 PM and did not disturb our sleep. The one problem we had was that there was no hot water in the shower next morning. There was a broken light in one of the lamps, also. The front desk staff was very nice about it when told and did give us a small credit on our bill. I probably would not stay here again, however.
